WFH (WORKOUT FROM HOME!)

HEY FRIENDS! Check this out for a little inspiration to stay motivated + get your workout in during the quarantine!


Ok It is no secret most of the US is home ridden at the moment for many reasons!

I won’t be touching base today on my thoughts about COVID-19 but I want to share some workouts I do at home that can help keep you active during this time of many of us having to work from home/stay home as much as possible!

First are 5 tips to just keep your schedule motivated! Being a WFH person I have been doing this for 10 years with my business and staying home can be challenging in and of itself to stay motivated for the day! Having your couch or bed so close + Netflix within reach can be a distraction but try not to let it be! We can implement ways for the next few weeks (for months) to keep ourselves upbeat + ready to take on our day! Even if we are staying in our jammies!

My first tip is to actually get up early. Take advantage of being at home obviously but still wake up at the same time as you would to get ready for your day job! Maybe enjoy coffee or take a little time to read and use the time you would normally be getting showered/makeup/dressed etc. to just slow down a bit and take your time! That self care can be super helpful and beneficial for you to stay motivated all day!

Next; set up a space in your home that you will be able to focus! I am sure your companies are helping you to keep your schedule in tact and really you just need to be in a place in your home that will help! If you have a home office, fantastic! If you do not, no worries!! Just choose a space at your table or wherever you feel most motivated and put a cute plant or a few trinkets that will help it feel like an office!

Plan and prep your meals! You will have little time to just chill on the couch over the next few weeks! Scheduling your lunch break will definitely help you! Planning out what you will eat and when you will take these breaks, will help you stay focused on that '“break time!”

Listen to that music as loud or as little as you want! I am a big music person so it keeps me on task if I have it at a loud sound so that I can just dig deep into the work I am trying to get done!

Last; motivate yourself by giving yourself little incentives! I do a bath night at least once a week as a treat for myself when I get everything on my to-do list done! Obviously you cannot go out and treat yourself like all crazy but you can go on amazon and get yourself a little something something!

Of course working out when you are working from home and the fact that a lot of gyms are closing temporarily right now gives us not a whole lot of options unless you are like me and love to run outside! I have consolidated some of my favorite workouts online and given you the links by day so that you can follow a routine! I will give two options for them and you can choose what works for you!!!
